10) Financial documents Show us you can support yourself and anyone who comes to Australia on the visa with you by providing:

  • an employment contract or bank statements, or
  • evidence of your financial position from your bank or financial institution

We can also consider allowances, accommodation and other help from your employer.

11) Supporter Documents You must provide evidence that your supporter:

  • is a person or organisation directly responsible for the event or events
  • has a formal role in preparing for, or conducting, the event or events

Also provide your supporter’s letter of support.

15) Sponsor Documents If you are being sponsored for the visa, provide evidence your sponsor:

  • is, or has applied to be, an approved temporary activities sponsor
  • will meet their obligations to you and anyone who applies for the visa with you

You must also provide evidence that your sponsor is:

  • an Australian organisation lawfully established and operating in Australia, or
  • an Australian Commonwealth, state or territory government agency, or
  • a foreign government agency operating in Australia

Also provide your sponsor’s letter of invitation.

 

 

Sponsor/ Supporter

1) Evidence you are an approved sponsor or have applied for sponsorship Provide the applicant with:

  • your sponsorship approval letter, or
  • evidence you have applied to be a temporary activities sponsor, such as your application ID or transaction reference number (TRN)
2) Evidence you are a certain kind of organisation Provide evidence that you are:

  • an Australian organisation that is lawfully operating in Australia
  • an agency of the Australian Government or an Australian state or territory government, or
  • a foreign government agency operating in Australia
3) Letter of invitation and support Provide the applicant with a letter of invitation, on your organisation’s letterhead if it has one, that includes:

  • the name of the applicant and any dependants applying for the visa with them
  • the name or nature of the short stay cultural and social activities
  • when the event or activity is happening
  • what the visa applicant will be doing at the event or activity
  • your organisation’s role in the event or activity
  • any payment or other support you will provide the applicant, with a breakdown of the funds allocated.
4) Prepare your documents Have all non-English documents translated into English.

Give us original and translated documents in your application.

Translators in Australia must be accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters.

Translators outside Australia do not have to be accredited. However, on each translation, they must include their:

  • full name
  • address and telephone number
  • qualifications and experience in the language they are translating.

These details must be in English.

Note: You do not need to have any documents certified.

Scan or photograph all documents (English and non-English) in colour.

The scans and photos must be clear.

If a document is more than one page, save it all as one file.
